  • Selfadjoint operators and symmetric operators
    Go Hirasawa, Our study is in the set S(H) of all semiclosed operators in a Hilbert space H. We show that the set Ssa(H) of all selfadjoint operators is relatively open in the set Ssym(H) of all semiclosed symmetric operators. We calculate the value of a radius of minus-Laplacian -Δ. As a topological approach, we show the selfadjointness of the Schrödinger operator with a Kato-Rellich potential., University of Szeged

  • A characterization of the stability of a system of the Banach space valued differential equations

We give a necessary and sufficient condition in order that the equation have the Hyers-Ulam stability. As a Corollary, we prove that the Banach space valued linear differential equation with constant coefficients y((n))(t) + a(n-1)y((n-1))(t) + ... + a(1)y'(t) + a(0)y(t) = 0 has the Hyers-Ulam stability if and only if Re lambda not equal 0 for all the solutions lambda of the equation z(n) + a(n-1)z(n-1) + ... + a(1)z + a(0) = 0., ELEMENT

  • Isometries and maps compatible with inverted Jordan triple products on groups
    Hatori; Osamu; Hirasawa; Go; Miura; Takeshi; M'olnar; Lajos, Last, Motivated by the famous Mazur-Ulam theorem in this paper we study algebraic properties of isometries between metric groups. We present some general results on so-called d-preserving maps between subsets of groups and apply them in several directions. We consider d-preserving maps on certain groups of continuous functions defined on compact Hausdorff spaces and describe the structure of isometries between groups of functions mapping into the circle group T.   • A perturbation of ring derivations on Banach algebras

  • HYERS-ULAM-RASSIAS STABILITY OF JORDAN HOMOMORPHISMS ON BANACH ALGEBRAS
    Takeshi Miura; Sin-Ei Takahasi; Go Hirasawa, Last, We prove that a Jordan homomorphism from a Banach algebra into a semisimple commutative Banach algebra is a ring homomorphism. Using a signum effectively, we can give a simple proof of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of a Jordan homomorphism between Banach algebras.   • The Bounded Operator which Corresponds to a Differential Operator in L^2(R^N)
