渡辺 綾子; 大島 聖美; 田中 秀樹,We conducted sleep education for 53 pregnant women participating in a class for parents and examined its effects on sleep habits, sleep satisfaction level and depression during pregnancy. We used educational material and instructed participants about responses to the physical effects of pregnancy, and provided information on biological rhythms of the newborn, as well as the importance of regulating biological rhythms. After sleep education, we explained sleep promotion activities resulting in high-quality sleep for pregnant women. Then, we set target activities for two weeks. After two weeks, we analyzed questionnaire entries of 10 women whose informed consent was obtained before the study. The results demonstrated that their sleep debt decreased and sleep satisfaction increased after sleep education. However, there was no significant improvement in depression during pregnancy. These results suggest that sleep education for pregnant women is effective for improving their sleep.

大島 聖美, 本研究では，青年の記憶に残る親からの好ましい養育態度と青年から見た父親・母親の役割の共通点と違いを明らかにすることを目的に，大学生52名に対して自由記述による質問紙調査を実施した。その回答についてKJ法を用いて構造化した結果，これまでの先行研究と同様に母親の「惜しみない支援」や「ポジティブな生活律」，父親の「縁の下の力持ち」や「要所を押さえる」のような情緒的関係性や結合性と関連する要素が青年からも好ましいと評価されていることが明らかとなった。また，母親の「強い信念」や父親の「かっこいいと思える背中」という要素から，青年期においては，両親が自らの価値観を示してくれることが，統制というよりも独自性として子に評価され，その重要性が示唆された。, 広島国際大学心理学部

大島 聖美, 本稿では、夫婦関係と子どもの養育との関連に関する研究について概観し、夫婦間コミュニケーションの重要性について考察した。これまでの先行研究では、夫婦関係は父母の子への関わりと密接に結びついており、その結びつきは父子関係において特に影響が大きいことが示唆されてきた。さらに、夫婦関係の不和は異性の親子間に特に大きな否定的影響を与えることも示唆された。これらの研究から、夫婦が良い関係性を築き、協力して子どもの養育を行うこと、つまり夫婦間のコペアレンティングの重要性が再確認された。そして、夫婦間のコペアレンティングを促進するために、父親の子育て協力と夫婦のコミュニケーションを促進する必要があり、今後そのための研究や教育プログラムの作成が望まれる。, 広島国際大学心理学部

大島 聖美, This article examined how middle-aged mothers who have young adult children feel about their experiences with childcare. Data collected in semi-structured interviews with 22 mothers were categorized and analyzed using a modified grounded theory approach. Many mothers began to rear their children in the way they thought would be best for the children based on "model mothers" they had read about. They often gave their children higher priority than they gave themselves. Occasionally, overwhelmed by a sense of obligation to take care of children, they took a self-centered approach to childcare. Having gained support from people close to them, having committed themselves to helping children handle problems, and having learned from their children as well as teaching them during the years they were raising them, in middle age recognized that during those years they had gained in maturity, as their children supported their individual initiatives and sought to emulate their way of life., 一般社団法人日本発達心理学会

大島 聖美, It is widely recognized that parents' marital relationship has an influence on their children's mental health, but few studies have examined whether this relation differs by the gender of the parent or child. The present study investigated how marital trust and positive parenting affect the psychological well-being of young males and females. Young adults (140 males and 153 females with a mean age of 22.4 years) and their parents completed questionnaires. The results showed that the level of marital trust among parents affected how well parents supported young adults. It was also found that sons understood the importance of their relationship with their fathers only after the father stated that the relationship was important. On the other hand, daughters recognized that they were supported by their fathers when their mothers had a strong level of trust in their husbands and the marriage. These findings suggest that the recognition of positive parenting contributes to the well-being of sons and daughters, and makes them less likely to be depressed., 一般社団法人日本発達心理学会

大島 聖美, 本研究の目的は,妻の夫への信頼感が青年期後半の娘の見る父親からの支持的な関わりに影響しているかどうか,さらに娘の見る父親からの支持的な関わりが娘の心理的健康に与える影響を検討することである。そのため,父親用,母親用,娘用の質問紙を作成し,青年期後半の女子とその両親153組を対象に質問紙調査を実施した。分析の結果,夫への信頼感が高い妻の娘ほど,父親から支持的な関わりを多く受けていると認識していることが示された。以上のことから,青年期後半の娘の父親に対する見方には,妻の夫への信頼感が影響している可能性が示唆され,父親の影響を考える上で,母親も考慮する必要性が確認された。さらに,娘が父親から支持的な関わりを受けたと認識することは,娘の自尊心の高さ,抑うつの低さ,幸福感の高さと関連することが明らかとなった。よって,父親から支持的な関わりを受けたという認識は,青年期後半の娘の心理的健康にとっても重要であることが示唆された。, 一般社団法人日本発達心理学会
