原口 春海; 貝原 俊也; 藤井 信忠; 國領 大介, Lead,In a labor-intensive cell manufacturing system, effective training is an important issue. We have proposed "skill index" as a new human index in the previous study. We have also proposed operator allocation method using this index for effective training up to now under the stable order condition. However, the order condition is fluctuating in a real site. Since this method did not change task assignment, operators had to continue the same tasks after they became expert about assigned task. It has a potential which becomes the big restrictions under fluctuating order condition. In this study, we make a new operator allocation and scheduling method for fluctuating order condition. In particular, we add a new variable for representation of quantity in decision variable of task assignment. The operators have various tasks and we have to consider about the simultaneous tasks, parallel tasks and the preceding restriction for other operators in the same cell under scheduling method. As a result of the computer experiment, our new method can get the task assignment and schedule which achieve more effective training than the previous study.

原口 春海; 貝原 俊也; 藤井 信忠; 國領 大介, The effective education from an expert to a newcomer is an important issue to consider the meaning of accumulation of technical skill succession and know-how, or efficient training to a worker in the cell manufacturing system. We proposed the operator allocation method in OJT using a skill index for the cell manufacturing system of a task divide and a task exclusive system. However, in order to improve transfer and productivity of skill, the situation where two or more operators were allocated the same task occurs in an actual shop floor. Since an operators skill is greatly related to productivity in labor concentration type cell productions, the operators effective training is important. On the other hand, when operators learn and acquire the multi-skill tasks, the level of difficulty in their mastery depends on the contents of target operations, so a sufficient plan for training is required. In this study, the main objective is the rapid improvement of operators skill. Therefore, after classifying operators skills about all the operation tasks, we try to optimize the task allocation in training mode, and evaluate its validity quantitatively., The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers

Although the quality and productivity of cell production systems depends largely on operators 'skill and other human factors, it is still insufficient to investigate how human factors affect manufacturing cells. Here, we apply structural equation modeling to analyze the impact of human factors on productivity of cellular manufacturing. We design a laboratory experiment of cellular manufacturing to measure the efficiency of the operators in manufacturing cells and meanwhile, conduct a questionnaire to grasp the operators 'aptitude. A covariance structure model is constructed based on the experiment data and the questionnaire 's answers, the potential causal dependencies between the productivity and human factors can be showed graphically and quantitatively through the pass diagram. Our results have showed that operators 'aptitude has significant e ffects on cell 's efficiency and the impact of operators 'aptitude is largely stronger than the learning effect., Japan Management Training Center

Yanwen Dong; Harumi Haraguchi; Masao Yokoyama, In order to understand cellular manufacturing and learn how to design a manufacturing line, an experimental lesson entitled as Industrial System Laboratory is offered to the students in Fukushima University who are required to assemble a toy robot METAMO through one person cell and a conveyor line respectively. This paper makes a statistical investigation of the impact of human factor such as learning and the aptitude of operators on performance of cellular manufacturing. The investigation is based on the assembly times measured during this laboratory. A comparison is made with the production line system. It has been demonstrated that the efficiency of cellular manufacturing depend strongly on the aptitude of operators and so worker assignment strategy is very important to improve the performance of cellular manufacturing., BEIHANG UNIV PRESS
